Here we have two smallish buttons in rootbeer Bakelite—a mister and missus, crowned king and queen. The kingly button is concave with a brass X pinned to its center while her Majesty is convex with a brass flower similarly pinned at the midpoint. Neat and shiny, these buttons form a tidy pair and probably hark back to the Great Depression if not the early 1940's.
