Back in January of this year, my friend Doreen sold me this absolutely stupendous button in chocolate brown Bakelite with double-pinned escutcheon in brass. The Bakelite is carved with swoops of pizzazz while the escutcheon, a metalized ribbon, is just a stunning piece of 1930's flamboyance. In my view, the design finds a middle ground between art deco and steampunk. Vintage grandiosity and a decided humdinger!
