Lovely Bakelite in the transparent color we call apple juice forms the base of this chic button with a faceted top in black glass. Queenly and commanding, imagine a gorgeous column of these buttons running along the blouse of a very important woman in the 1930's. I love the marriage of glass and Bakelite, so much so that I'll be posting another example of this elegant combination tomorrow.
