I've posted quite a few Bakelite+Wood combo buttons over the years, but never a wooden button giving prominence to maroon Bakelite...until now. This is the only button in my collection that sets maroon Bakelite on wood. It appears that the two materials were adhered before they were carved around the sides with a deep crisscross design. Dark and peculiar, this button makes my day.
