Here's a medium-sized button I recently added to my collection on account of its bright color and unusual carving. The incised design on this old button is likely meant to resemble a flower, which it does, but somehow I also see a turtle shell—minus the turtle. The color is a warm tone of creamed corn. Most importantly, this button tested positive for Bakelite. Made in the 1930's.
