Victorious in Moss Bakelite
Likely harking back to WWII, this large and lovely button emblazons the "V" for victory sign that was all the rage during the years surrounding the war. The make is Bakelite and the color is a lush and darkly delicious tone of moss. Taking the sculpted details of this button a step further, a rash of carved notches form a rough and highly textured surface that accentuates the smoothness of the V. And while the letter V obviously stands for victory, it also stands for vintage, vital and visibly verdant—all words I'd use to describe this triumphant piece of history.
