The smartest of all my toggle buttons, I'm titling today's post "The Genius" because this toggle is so darn intelligent looking. A log of bright yellow butter wrapped in reddish-orange rings, this old button is totally astute and gosh-darn savvy! At first glance, I didn't believe the grooved rings were Bakelite because of their unusual color. I've rarely seen Bakelite in this cinnabar tone, but to my surprise the rings did test positive. Of course, the smooth yellow piece is Bakelite also. I love the geometric style of this art deco toggle. Although this button is 90 years old, it appears to be in mint condition.
