My apologies for such an awful photo. To explain, we've had some horrible weather lately with a lot of rain clouds blocking the sunlight that I depend on for suitable pictures. Moreover, this button is not photogenic, which is a shame because in person this medium sized keepsake is a real beauty that resembles a shiny glass plum. The buttonholes lie at the bottom of a smooth dip between a couple of carved parentheses—and the wine hue of this Bakelite gem positively glows. So yes, the photo is horrid, but trust me; the button is a dreamy treasure. From the 1920's.
