Art Deco Goddess in Red
Here's a little something for Mother's Day that's actually not little at all. This large and extravagant button is a glassy showstopper—exploding with the art deco style. It reminds me of a flapper's headdress with three tall peacock feathers rising out of the horizontally carved base at the lowest corner. Although this button has a glass-like appearance, it tested for positive for Bakelite. As I've mentioned before, RED BAKELITE is my weakness and this button is very red. Moreover it's an incredibly heavy button that likely goes back to the 1920's-1930's. A hearty vision of the past.
