Art Deco Handful
Yesterday I was flipping through the pages of one of my Art Deco books and decided to set down some Bakelite buttons on this illustration of a Jazz Age flapper. In the palm of her outstretched hand there's quite a batch, including a jewel-like rootbeer button, a chocolate toggle and a cookie button featuring a black star. All tested positive for Bakelite and likely go back to the Roaring Twenties.
Take today's post as an omen of things to come. I love Art Deco buttons and next month I'm going to post of full week of them. Be on the lookout as I promise these will be some major dazzlers.
