Here's an interesting button. This big chunk of rootbeer Bakelite is brandishing a discolored strip of non-Bakelite material. The curious inlay is white celluloid and once upon a time it may have been a shiny piece of faux mother-of-pearl. Today the fake MOP no longer shines, but the rootbeer Bakelite is another story. Going back to the Great Depression, this hefty treasure still emits a stately glow.
