Just when I thought I'd seen all the cookie buttons ever made, another variety comes along and the world of Bakelite cookie buttons gets a little bigger and a little more interesting. These two funsters came into my collection last week via my friend Doreen and I decided, for no reason, to photograph them on a wooden bench I keep in my sunroom. Anyway, the buttons look to me like wee faces with puffy hairdos. They come from the 1920's and definitely give off a playful vibe. For all the cookie buttons I've posted over the years, I've got a handful left that still haven't popped up on this blog. Consider this a sign of more cookies to come.
