Someone encouraged me recently to watch a "very frightening" movie titled, The Babadook with the warning that it would "scare the living daylights out of me." Anyway, it didn't. Although the film tried its darnedest to be scary, it didn't induce a single goosebump on this perceptive viewer. And that's why I'm calling this my Babadook button. Notwithstanding those bluish-greenish celluloid eyes set in black Bakelite sockets, this button simply doesn't give me the heebie-jeebies. I'll admit that it does resemble a spooky owl (and I absolutely love this unusual button), but I'm not exactly shaking in my boots. circa 1930.
