Apple Juice Bakelite can be deep and dark like amber or pale like the lightest of ciders. These three examples of AJ Bakelite are wonderfully golden and bright. Medium-sized buttons, they sport an etched design of dashes whittled above and below the buttonholes. These buttons, dating back to the 1930's, are new to my collection. Sparkling. Ebullient. Old-fashioned and totally charming.
