Aloha! This wondrous button has always reminded me of a Hawaiian lei balled up into a spectacle of bronze light. This unusual beauty is made of tortoise Bakelite (aka rootbeer) and boasts one of the prettiest carvings I've ever seen in a button. Most of my rootbeer buttons tend to run smooth, whereas this one is riddled with sculpted flowers—three daisies to be exact. Dating back to the early 1930's, this meticulous bouquet is practically an amber jewel.
