Apple Blossom
I don't know if the groundhog saw his shadow or not this year, but I do know that this week marks the beginning of spring and for that reason I'm posting a whole week of flower buttons. Starting with this two-tone blossom, here's a Bakelite beauty (from the 1920's) with five shapely petals made of sculpted apple juice and a reddish bead at its center, which also tested positive for Bakelite. Stay tuned for a very floral week of antique buttons. It's springtime!
