Behold, the Reverend Mother of Buttons! Here's a fascinating find I purchased earlier this year from my friend Doreen. My favorite aspect of this dark wonder is the unique shape, which equals four lobes of black Bakelite. What's more, the metal escutcheon is just oozing with batty frills. Look at the bluish crust that's oxidized on the upper left limb. I just love the churchy vibes coming off this holy mama. Fancy and sanctimonious, this button likely goes back to the 1930's.
