Razzmatazz!

How spectacular are these glitter-packed party buttons from the Roaring Twenties? Right out of a New Year's Eve soirée circa 1925, these amazing wowzers are right up there with my favorite and most prized chunks of vintage Bakelite. And somehow I ended up with two of them! As viewed from the top, these buttons appear to be striped. Turn them sideways and discover that they're dotted. Three cylindrical pieces of licorice Bakelite have been wedged into apple juice Bakelite, which is crammed with golden tinsel. Epitomizing the great "Gatsby chic" of America's wildest decade, these vogue toads are a major scream. The buttons are very heavy and very lavish (if not a skoch gaudy). The style: Art Deco to the max!
