Toggle Tuesday: Meet the Jellybeans!

Clearly, I'm in an art deco mood. My last three blog posts, including today's, are great examples of the famous "jazz age" style of the 1920's ... and these little jellybean toggles are the quintessential toppings on a timeless, old cupcake. From left to right they are: Mr. Jellybean in creamed corn, Mrs. Jellybean in butterscotch, junior in chocolate and peewee in cherry red. But are they Democrats or are they Republicans? Don't ask. What really affirms the art deco style of these toggles is the gills or slits cut diagonally at the ends. The larger buttons sport four slits, then three on the smaller and only two on the very smallest. And there you have it. The Jellybeans. I love this snazzy family of Bakelite goody-goodies.
