One of my least favorite Christmas carols is "Merry Christmas Darling" in which Karen Carpenter sings the cheesy line: Logs on the fire fill me with desire. Worst holiday lyric ever! But on the subject of logs, here's a large button made of brownish moss Bakelite—carved to resemble a hearty chunk of timber, if not a Christmas log in a warm and cozy fireplace, circa 1930.
