Such a fascinating oddity, just look at this large coat button going back to the 1930's! A thick and chunky hunk of pure Bakelite, it's the carved details that really made me sit up and take note of this unusual treasure. Like arcane symbols on a map, I see round points that remind me of juggled balls, several indentations and slopes, a vaguely triad shape and what appears to be three sailboats converging in a whirlpool. It's almost like a Rorschach test. What do you see?
