Orange Prize
Orange Bakelite tends to be the toughest color to find in my experience. Why that's been true for me, I don't really know, but it's definitely the orange buttons that evade me more than any other color (not counting blue Bakelite, which is practically an anomaly). That's why I'm always quick to snatch up a tangerine-tone button when I find one. This perky dish is one of my favorite discoveries from last year—replete with the gear-edged border. A large button, bright as an apricot, dating back to the early 1940's.
