Look what the Siamese cat dragged in! A deep green Bakelite button, this exotic find has been polished to a hypnotic Jade. The button has also been carved into a spiral design—and what a treat for the eyes. My word for this button is tantalizing. Notice the rich smattering of golden patina that's at rest between the spiral carvings. This might be the perfect example of how patina can highlight and compliment a Bakelite button's color and texture. From the 1920's.
